This started off as an idle scribble that sat on my desk for a while until I decided to have a crack at rigging using the excellent Advanced Character tools plugin for maya. I’m no rigger so decided that adapting the character rigging tools would be the best way to go. It worked out ok except that the tools are really designed for more human shaped characters.
I did the models and most of the rigging in 2 days and spent another few days adding morphs animating and rendering in the time between projects.
